Soil erosion is a big problem, as it can be destructive to farms and affect access to potable water. Deforestation is one of the biggest culprits.

Farmers are taught skills to prevent soil erosion and are not allowed to farm on highly inclined areas. Since 2018, the CAA has assessed which measures are taken to combat soil erosion on farms.
