Farmer association Cocoa Abrabopa (CAA, 2008 Ghana) and Cocoa Lela (CL, 2011 Liberia) both meaning “Cocoa for a better life” in the local language of both countries, are the first two established cooperatives. They currently hold around respective 19.000 and 2500 farmers, of which 9500 are certified in Ghana.

The first steps towards “cocoa for a better life” associations in Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Sierra Leone have been made.
