The organizational chart of the Cocoa Abrabopa Association (CAA)
To emphasize the importance of the certifications it is captured in a separate department (light green) next to the other departments being; operations, extension, training & development and finance & administration. In total there are more than 100 office – and field employees working for the Ghanaian association.
The CAA’s decision making process
The Executive Council, consists of 7 regional representatives. They are annually elected by member farmers at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), 4 corporate founders and 2 corporate founders’ appointees. All strategic decisions must be approved by the council. These decisions will then be implemented by management – and field staff. At the heart of the organization, a day-to-day management is responsible for facilitating and monitoring all activities and processes.
